Who We Are

An ensemble assembled, not inherited.

Every season, singers from throughout Florida and the Southeast audition for a place in the Festival Singers. They arrive as teachers, church musicians, students and professionals — and they leave as one instrument. Our mission is to engage and inspire through impassioned singing, while expanding awareness and appreciation of the choral arts across the state we call home.

Artistic Director & Conductor

Dr. Kevin Fenton

Choral singing is the only art form where the instrument is the person. Our job is to make that unmistakable.

Director of Choral Studies at the Florida State University College of Music, Dr. Fenton has led the Festival Singers since the ensemble's founding, shaping a sound known throughout the region for its warmth, precision and interpretive nerve. Under his direction the ensemble has premiered new works, performed for state and regional conventions, and built a commissioning program that puts living composers in front of Florida audiences.

Sing with the Festival Singers

Auditions are held annually and open to experienced singers throughout Florida and the Southeast. No prior affiliation required — only preparation and a serious ear.
